Shameless begging for Scenario/(Game?)

Avalanche - The Salerno landings September 1943. Excluding the Pacific Theater, Salerno might have been the most closely contested amphib op of the war (Dieppe was an experiment/practice/waste of good Canadians). Clark was thinking about pulling out on day 3. The Germans were still firing on the landing beaches. Naval support probably made the difference but they were under artillery fire too. Perfect size of area and units. Offense and defense for both sides. Many different terrain factors. Commando ops and airdrops. Air parity. Bridges and strongpoints. GDW's Avalanche was one of my favorite boardgames ever - and the result was almost always Marginal Axis victory. I feel this would make a GREAT scenario for the magnificent/divine/sublime game engine that has ruled my life for 3 months now. Send me the code - I'll do it. I'll alpha test it, beta test it, and gamma test it. I'll wear sandwich boards and walk the streets selling it. I'll hand deliver it to anybody that buys it and save you guys the price of postage... But seriously -I think it would be very playable/re-playable. Time for my medication now

[:D] Uh oh - I knew that picture would come back to haunt me. Good detective work, Cap'n M. BTW - IIRC XXX Corps was a little late getting to Salerno too.....

Well..we do know hwo was in charge of XXX Corps [;)]

Nothing like a Brigade-level attack with armor, preparatory air-bombardment and Corps-level artillery support to move out a squad of Pioneers with German Shepards.
