Quietly Flows the Donau - BVP-1s Cannot Cross the River

My West German opponent just blew the southern bridge North of Stephansposching and I'm unable to plot movement for any of my BVP-1s across the river. In fact, the only units that'll cross the river are my AT BRDMs which would be useless. I assume this is an error and the scenario designer didn't mean this battle to end so easily.

probably this is a bug.
looking at the BVP-1 data , it doesn't show this is Amphibious unit

Would the amphibious capability be noted on the panel in your message? If so, that answers my question elsewhere in this forum.

One question looking at the scenario, how long did you wait before going for the bridge? The NATO forces have two engineering units that have to cross the map to get there to set up to blow the bridge. As for BMP-1 amphibious capability, I'll review the data and see.

I’m not in front of my computer so I can’t say precisely, but we were about an hour and a half into the four hour scenario. I moved the two battalions alongside the hill in the middle and I had given one of the battalions Assault orders to the bridge and they had just begun to move when I caught a brief glimpse of one of my opponents units moving onto or up to the bridge.

Fixed the missing amphibious characteristic for two BMPs. Not sure when those updates will hit the site. I will let you folks know.

I started setting up this scenario as the Russians against AI. I am trying to plot my recon BVP-1s to cross the river using the good bridge in the south but they refuse to use the bridge. Instead they are using amphibious movement which requires about 3 hours to cross the river. My tanks will use the bridge and cross quickly. One HQ will also use the bridge but all the other mech infantry and AT's I have plotted, refuse to use the bridge and instead cross by amphibious movement. Very slow to cross the river via amphib movement.
I am using the recent 2.1.2.7207 patch.

Jagger, there is a bug with plotted movement when there is a bridge to cross. We are testing a fix and hope to have a new beta patch out soon. The fix was not ready for 7207.

Try changing the movement preference to the waypoint across the bridge to Road movement. If you have concealment preference for movement, that is probably the problem. Note my example.
