Scenario/Campaign Design Questions

I've been away from Flashpoint Campaigns since way before this new version came out. I think I last played the Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm version (I guess that is now referred to as "Flashpoint Campaigns Classic").
Anyway, before I grab this version, is the scenario/campaign design process still "generally similar" to the older version(s)? Even so, I'm sure I'll need to re-learn quite a bit that's been forgotten over time but hopefully it'll come back fairly quickly.
