A Wish to far?

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

A Wish to far?

Post by langley »

Do we have a release date of any kind, or is this me being too hopeful?

Last I talked with David, he said that was for him to give any details on

so as of now, don't hold your breath, just keep on wishing

as we get closer, you will have a better feel for when it may be released

HS,

When Matrix first announced their acquisition of these games it was indicated that the initial release was not going to have many new features. Is this still the case?

Trick question

so maybe a trick answer

not sure if I would see it as new features, or things that had to be changed due to this or that

changes to the OOB while making the game seems to be totally different, are not really new features

which while the code is being looked at and reworked, maybe some stuff can be added, turned on that was turned off, and so on

as above, I think it is best not to hold your breath on anything stated in a "wish" post, as we get things in and working, we should be able to tell how things are going and where we are at with in the "hoped for" and maybe down the road ideas

okay, lets go over some of the goals

we want the games to work with Windows XP (that should fix some of the other hassles with the current game, mouse and so on)

we want to crush as many of the old bugs as we can
(to be honest, if we can fix every bug on my list (our list) I would be very happy, and the game would seem like a whole new game right there)

improve the Data Files/OOB
(units, plane types, target types, target system, combat system, pilot system, weapon/bomb load system)

art work
(new plane art work, improved map art work, interface art work)

rework the GUI so that both games have the same GUI and work the same way

improved messageing and messageing control

and in the course of trying to do that, slip in anything we can to make it work better

...we want the games to work with Windows XP...
What will be the minimum config? How about us sub-1GHz W2K boxes?

hmmm
I am not sure about this

I know they were able to get it to work with windows

it is now a windows based game

which from what I was told it is working great on windows XP, I do not know if that carries back to W2K or not (it should ?)

I should be able to get some kind of reponse back, depending

I was not told if there was going to be anything added that should really up what was needed to run the game any more then what it took before, in fact, most of the new puters are really a little too fast for it, and it needs to be slowed down
