Being a "vanilla" SPWAW user...I suppose I should take a look at this one. I tried some terrain mod last month, don't remember which one, but the AI went berserk and did strange things, so I went back to vanilla. I probably messed it up somehow.

I take it this is highly recommended? [8D] I note that the vanilla terrain is sometimes difficult to discern...for me anyway. Does this mod make some of it clearer?

No, I have not tried it, but I do have it now. I was wondering what impact it would have on my OOBs and how that would "change" my gameplay. I guess I will have to try it and find out. [;)]

It will definately change your OOBs, that is one of the main points
[:)]
but will also change terrain graphics, vehicle icons, and many other goodies.
[:D]
DONT FORGET TO USE IT WITH MODSWAPPER!
that way you can easily revert to your original files

For future reference, if I make a campaign or scenario, I should use the vanilla OOBs to ensure maximum compatibility, correct? Otherwise, if I make a scenario with Depot Mod 2, I should make sure to label it as such.

yes you should label it as such
I know a few make scenarios over at the Depot using the mod but they make sure they label as such.

Changes so far....
some of this is redundant but some new changes have been added since last posted.

Included in the "patch" are some Excellent new Building Graphics from "Tracer"

OOB UPDATE JAN 17

updated oobs with bug fixes such as units have wrong type ammo or having a particular type of ammo but no penetration listed for that type of ammo(apcr for
instance). Recalculated pricing, standardized small arms and ammo loadouts, also changed fire control, range finder, gun stabilizer to consistent values thru out the oobs.

Satchel charges at some point were given a weapon size 222 this makes them too heavy for the infantry to use in close assaults, so they do not use them. removed the 222 weapon size. Changed all satchel charges in game to these specs

Max Range 4
Max APCR 0
Accuracy 60
Warhead 10
HE Kill 12
Pen AP 0
Pen HE 20
Pen APCR 0
Pen HEAT 150
Weapon Class 2
Weapon Size 2
Sound 0

Removed all HE ammo from all Piats, PzFausts, PzSchreks, and AT rifles.

All 50 Cal MGs now have 23 Penetration
Sources state 50 cal penetration was indeed 23. so Pen has been raised slightly.

Also have found in some nations The MG values for penetration are all over the place, most likely left over from the tank killing MGs of version 8.0, I think was the version [&:].
I am currently going thru every MG in every Nation checking for crazy values and will adjust to what the code expects [:)]

Individual Units changes:

Bulgaria:

#109 Tank 'Movague'-The main armament for this vehicle was only a single 40mm PLK 36M Flak weapon, not a dual gun set up.

#85 Tank Wenger- had all the wrong weapons, they had 8mm 34/40 CMG and BMG.
the main gun was 40m 40mm Cannon, similar to the gun used in the Movague

#23 Panzer IIIJ- They never acquired any of these, they were going to receive 10 of them under the Barbara plan, but they never materialized!!

#92 Panther T-V- should be March 1945 start date, indeed they never used
them in combat, but this is the correct date for their acquisition.

#95 Maybach T-IV- main weapon should be #48! Begin date March 1945.

USA:

US Engineer platoon was not showing up in buy menu due to data field error in the oob editor, corrected this so the formation now shows up.

Added Motor Engineer formations

Some other USA formations have been reworked slightly as pertaining to changing a few radio codes so units are not showing up in multiple formations. Also Major Destruction has helped in "cleaning up" many of the USA formations (more Historical)

Added to USA a 90MM ATG version of the 90MM AA Gun

Germany:

Reclassed German Mountains troops as "Heavy Infrantry" as opposed to "special forces" so they no longer have infiltraiting capabilty Returned some Missing MG units to German motor rifle companies and SS Motor rifle companies.

You will also notice some new German Formations [:)]

Other individual unit changes

Gave Romainia some special forces units..."Munte Sqds" with infiltraiting capability

Noticed none of the Anzac units equiped with Piats had any
ammo...gave them some.

Added some "oversupplied" offmap arty units to Norway OOB (good idea Goblin )
These units have double the ammo as regular units do, but are quite costly.

Placed some "level Bombers" in Norway OOB for scenario Design.

Thanks to Flashfyre SP for Many Netherland OOB Additions, Mike "Warhorse" Amos for the Bulgaria OOB corrections, Glenn "Gunny Erwin" Higginbotham for the Many USMC OOB additions, and Stuart 'Maj Destruction" Millis for the Many Britian and USA OOB additions.
Also thanks to Goblin for helping find alot of errors.[:)]
And last but not least, Mike Wood, without whom this would not be possible
