Crazy Stats Problem

Post by BrewerFan »

I am getting some real bizarre stats in my 1923 replay. George "Boots" Grantham of the Cubs is batting .553 with 11 Home Runs after one Week! One Game he hit 5 Home Runs as the Cubs beat the Cardinals 27-13! I am not sure if I set something up wrong or what, but I thought I would report this stat annomaly.

Grantham for real in 1923 batted ,281 with 8 home runs on the season.

He is not the only one with far out stats, there are many other players...but he was slugging better than Ruth, so he stuck out like a sore thumb.

Any Hints/Advice on getting better stats would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Jim

Go to each team's ballpark and take a look at the dimensions and altitude. It sounds as if some of the "default" parks may have very short fences or be at very high altitudes.

I encountered this in an earlier version of PS, so it may still happen occasionally. I had games where both teams were hitting 7-8 HRs and scoring in the 20's.

It must be something like that, because I just ran 1923 usign fast sim and the "[x] Use Avg Park for All Games" option and the numbers looked real good.
