I'm not really a football guy, mostly because Denmark hasn't had a proper national team since 1992!

Keep an eye on Brian Ching for the US, number 11. Plays on the Houston Dynamo in the MLS and was the leading MLS scorer until he left for the Championships in Germany.

Generaly the US team is not bad at all. That's why you guys should support it much more. You got a kickass keeper too. Hmm, I wonder why his name sounds so german [;)]

Does anyone remember - Denmark didn't even QUALIFY for that tournament. It was unique case of team winning a major tournament thy didn't even regularly qualify for [X(][X(]

Yeah, well... That was also a very large part of why they won... Nobody expected them to be any good, and by the time people woke up, it was the final...

The opener was a pretty good match to start the tournament on.

And finally Australia qualified! After being shafted by FIFA for years it was SWEEEEET to beat those cheatin' Uruguayans and get into the World Cup. How I enjoyed the distress that caused, especially after Recoba asserted that they had "a divine right" to qualify. HA! Their deity must have been having the day off.

Having Brazil in our group doesn't exactly help matters though [:@]. Costa Rica would have been handy. No-one expects us to get anywhere which is exactly as we like it [:'(]. It's fun to be part of it anyway.

Watch out for Harry Kewell, "The V-bomber" Mark Viduka, Marco Bresciano and Tim Cahill.

Cheers, Neilster

ps This is an artist's impression of Australia winning the World Cup [:'(]

And notice the non-spinning ball wobbled all over the place? The aerodynamics of this ball are supposed to enhance dip/swerve on the spinning shots as well.
