Editing Question

I quite like the system but the campaigns are a bit big for me. The smaller scenarios (Moscow, Stalingrad etc) are more my size and I wouldn't mind trying to make some others.

Is there any documentation on making these scenarios?

For example, does the map size have to be at least as big as a zoomed out screen? What happens to the units and HQs that are "off the map" (but which seem to be left in the database of the scenarios included with the game)?

I'd prefer not to do everything by trial and error if it's already written down somewhere but the editor documentation that comes with the game seems to cover only basic stuff.
