Korsun Pocket Freezing (Germans Will Receive No Relief This Way)

Hi, Everyone:

I just purchased and installed Korsun pocket and updated the game through all three patches. (V. 1.10, 1.11, 1.12) Though the game ran beautifully when only playing the CD installation (v 1.0), the game froze immediately after patching to v. 1.10. Upon the last patch (v. 1.12) the game now goes to a black screen w/ a green cursor--that's it. (The CD is in the primary drive.) I am running Windows 98SE, 1.0 GHz processor and 128 MB RAM.

Could anyone please diagnose this error? Virtually all my other programs on my machine run terrifically; the machine is clean of viruses and spyware; to my knowledge there are no other conflicts anywhere w/ anything except Korsun 1.x.
