Option routes for receivers

This is definately down the road, but once the PDS allows for more zone defenses than cover 3 to be played, would it be possible to incorporate option routes for WRs and TEs? The receiver would have a man read, and a zone read, and their ability to make the proper read would be based on intelligence, and the QB would have to make the same read. If the QB and WR make different reads, the QB would throw to where the receiver's other route...free pickings for the defense.

I wouldn't want this implimented until zones are adjustable or more templates are provided...its too easy to draw routes to the seams if you know they only play cover 3 variations.

Just a thought...I've been reading my football textbooks too much lately.

That's a good idea.  West Coast offenses do that.
 
It would take some code to get it done though, so it may be a list item for a while.
