Once again, the first report for the new week.
PrinceCorrin and I dueled with mediums. I got a Crossbow, he got a M.S.T. Mk1. The match started horribly for me--I couldn't lay a missile on him, and he nailed me several times with AC12, LRM, and NM. By the time I got my first hit in, my LL was already red. He jumped at me, and that's when my luck changed. Despite taking 23 damage, I stayed up, while PC fell. Quickly taking the advantage, I kicked, punched and blasted the hell out of his prone form. When he stood up, his LoT was red, and after getting beat on, my next SRM8 shot took it out, dropping him again. I knew I had a chance at that point, but I still expected to lose. I was red in three places, yellow in the rest. My elbow, hip, scanner and jump jets were damaged. I kept hitting, though, hoping to do enough damage to him before my arms fell off. I got seriously lucky when he missed an AC12 shot. Finally, I took out his LT and won the game.

Lyhrrus and I dueled in the dungeon with assaults. I got a custom of mine, called a Dizzy Spell. It's got 3 NBs. Lyhrrus got his favorite custom, the Blender. Fortunately, my Dizzy Spell has very good heat dissipation, and low-heat weapons, so he wasn't able to do too much heating with his many NMs. They still did damage, though, and so did the CLG. His shield stopped the majority of my NB shots when I was further out, but a few got in to mess with him. As I got closer, they started having more effect, judging by the complaints I was hearing in ICQ.
I DFA'd him, and he went down, but I didn't. That pretty much gave me the win. He tried several times to get up, but NB effects and low life penalties combined with my punching him in the legs kept him down. Finally, I took out his CBT and his jock, already weakened, died of shock damage. It was a hell of a fight. Thanks, Lyhrrus.

Illegal! Illegal! No way should something have 3 NBs. I knew it was going to be a bad fight when I first saw it's name. Then, my all my missiles missed at 65%+. That's what spelled doom for me. I couldn't even slow his firing down because of that.

Took 2 more away from Michael.

I don't know how I won the first one. I have to say looks can kill. We were in hell on heavies, he had a Rifleman (2 GCs, AC7, SRM8) while I had a Gremlin (my heavy version of an Imp, twin LRM6s, twin TBs). My pilot was used to cooler climates and was very dizzy in hell. Michael shot me full of GCs and AC7s, practically every shot hitting, and every other GC knocking me down. Try as I might to dodge or jump forward, I kept on getting knocked down. He turned my RA and RL red and damaged my heat reg before I was able to collapse to some safety behind a gravestoned hill. Having no DCS, I quickly marched forward and tried to get to within Tesla range. Jumping worked a little better this time, allowing me to cap him with a yellow helmet. However, by the time I got close enough to use my Teslas, my Jump jets were running out and I couldn't see him as he was on a mountain. I tried jumping up again a short while later after I heard him fail a break move, only to come up, not see anything, have him stand up, shoot my RT red and damage my heat reg to medium, and force me to make a hasty landing before I could even get another shot off. My jump jets were practically empty by this point. A short while later, while I cowered in the corner of his hill, I heard an explosion, followed by several more and the sound of a titan falling. Apparently he had overheated in a mad rush to stop me from coming any closer to him and now his ammunition was popping. He conceded the game after he was put to heat 170 and only losing .18 heat a second.

Second one, in stark contrast to the first, was played in Iceland on Mediums. I drew a Cataphract while he got a Crucible. Doom for him. I picked a nice mountain to hop onto. With no flares and snow slowing him down, after I blew out his LT before he even got close to being in his ML range, he conceded.

Doesn't matter how much the odds are in my favor, I still manage to lose to Lyhrrus. He's in league with Lucifer.

2 wins against Hetzer. Both assaults. First was my HeartBreaker (Hetz custom) vs. his MindFlayer (ditto. I got worried when 3 NBs started coming at me, but the shield 3 and Life 6 of my titan stopped a lot of the damage. I was still staggering around dizzy, but my NMs made it hard for him to shoot as often. We clashed in the same hex and pounded each other. When he went down, I kicked out his LT, then when he got up, I punched out his LoT, and that was game.

Second fight was my Widowmaker (My custom) vs. his Tentakel. I got lucky and was able to close to NB range before getting too seriously hurt. With 4 NBs, I messed him up good. Knocked him out once and closed the distance to inside GM min. He still DFA'd me and turned my RA red, and a lot of further punching and kicking commenced, but he kept missing, giving me the edge in damage. When I knocked him out a second time, he conceded. Thanks for the games, Hetz.

Chalk up another win for me. My first game against The Happy Moron. That lady can play, though! Coincidentally, we both got customs of Lyhrrus. I got the Gutter (2 AC12, 2 AC7), and she got the Meatgrinder (2 LRM6, 4 SRM8). I attempted to stay back a ways, since I could do more damage at longer range than she could, but she outfoxed me and ended up only a few hexes away. So, I started dodging like a maniac to avoid all those missiles, and it worked rather well. I got in several hits, and turned the Meatgrinder pretty colors. After another failed attempt to increase the distance between us, I turned to face her and cut loose, doing more damage, but nothing serious. She got a few hits in, turning my head and RA yellow, but my lucky break came when she dodged into my hex. Even though she punched me and turned my LT yellow, my return attack knocked her down and tore off her RA. From that point, I kept her down through several punches and kicks, and managed to blow off her LT and turn her head red. Not giving up, she stood and kicked at me, but missed and fell over once more, landing on the Meatgrinder's head and killing the jock. Thanks for the game, it was fun.

It was a classic ploy, and it would have worked in his favor if I had taken the bait...

He ran over the top of a group of hills, expecting me to follow, but I have seen that move many times before. I turned and ran around the hills and low and behold-- there he was! He tried to dodge away, but it gave me a clear view of his back, and I was hoping to do some real damage.

Not that cutting him off at the pass changed anything, I couldn't hit him for crap, even at 80%!

And the kick... it was at 30% chance to hit but, never surrender, when you got one attack left, use it!
See the happy moron,
He doesn't give a damn,
I wish I were a moron,
My god! Perhaps I am!

Whew...a tense win over Rosary. We dueled with assaults in the iceland. I got a Vicious Byte, he got a Protostar. Things looked good for me from the start, since I had the range on him. I blasted away as fast as I could, scanning in between recyclings. When I saw he had CC weapons, I fired even more often, wanting to hurt him before he got near me. Three lucky AC20 shots reduced his LT armor to nothing, giving me hope. I ran around, trying to stay away from him, my shield doing excellent work against his pulse lasers. He got within one hex of me when I finally took out his LT, depriving him of half his weapons. He fell then, and I blasted away. When he got up, he tried jumping at me, but failed the jump stunt roll, giving me more chance to fire on him. When he got up again, he ran at me instead of jumping. I continued firing, waiting until I judged he was about to reach me, then jumped up. It worked perfectly, he ran under me, and I jumped down on his head, a nice 36 point DFA. Sadly, I fell and he did not, but apparently he'd fired too fast, and two ammo explosions nearly took of his RA. When I stood up, I punched him a few times and shot him until his RA fell off and his heat reg gave out.

Almost true but it was my RT not my LT. I guess it doesn't matter that much. The protostar took a lot of punishment and if it weren't for the lucky shots to the RT the battle would have had a different result since the rest of my armor was in the 50-60's

I played THM (Alexi) for the first time. I got a GT Ripper (ack, ptooey, yick, ugh, delete that piece of junk!) while she got a Disruptor. Fortunately for me, I was able to close in on her without her ever being able to directly see me until I was 1 hex away. From there, I chased her and pounded AC20s into her, until I was able to jump into his hex, saw her a couple times, watch her jump out, run after her, AC20, jump in, saw and so on and so forth. Finally her LT gave out, be she kept on going. I caught up again after a lovely frolic in the woods, knocked her down with an AC20 and called sawed her leg off.

I just won a long, hard battle against Lyhrrus and Bernd. I was hosting, playing two titans, they were against me. We used lights, my two were a Mirage and a Tempest. Lyhrrus got custom of mine, Bernd got Ghost. Things started well, my Mirage got a good high spot and start launching missiles at Lyhrrus. My Tempest hung around as guard for a bit, then went after the Ghost, which could hit my mirage from a distance. On the way, it exchanged fire with Lyhrrus. My missiles did a lot of damage to Lyhrrus, and I got a few shots at Bernd, though his flares defeated most of my attemps. Eventually, my Tempest closed with both of them and got into a slugging match. It was in trouble, since the both of them were pounding on it, but it stayed up long enough to virtually disable Lyhrrus and get a few hits in on Bernd. I switched my missile fire to Bernd, took a few hits from his PG, then started moving closer. He finally ran out of flares, so I began hitting more often. I ran out of LRMs, but kept up the GM fire, finally tearing off his arm, and then his LoT. I switched back to Lyhrrus, who, after many failed attempts (due to leg damage,I think) had gotten up. I was seriously low on GMs, and used my last three volleys on him, since Bernd was disabled. He took the first two without falling, but the last three shots knocked him down and took out his LoT. I was completely out of ammo, but I won. :-)

No flares on my titan! What a crime. Ah well. Definitely a good game, I tried as long as I could to avoid missiles, but there was just too huge of an open patch of ground and I had no defense against them.

My first hosted game. The honor (or misfortune ) went to Alexi (THM). We dueled on Mediums in the dungeon. I got my Hole Puncher (twin GCs, twin GM3s) while she got my Lumberjack (a Fist varient, with twin SRM8s instead of TB). I spotted her about 10 hexes away. "Plenty of time to shoot her down" I thought. WRONG! Ever regret making good titans when they come back to haunt you? Not only did she flare and dodge with extreme skill, the thick armor on the Lumberjack held firmly. Fortunately I was in some gravestones, the were finally smashed after taking about 10 SRM8 rounds. I was forced to backpedal, but not before a lucky GC shot dinged her head and capped it yellow. Eventually we were seen jumping towards each other, my already thin armor being sanded to vellum thinness. I was able to get her to land first and DfAed, causing both of use to fall and turning her head red. I was able to get up first, punch her a couple times and toss another GM into her head. Thankfully after she got up, she missed both her saws. A hit anywhere would have turned me red. Frantically throwing out another punch, I was able to knock her head off before I could be buzzed.

Second hosted game went to Michael. I guess I really should have shown my appreciation more for all that he's done and let him win... but I didn't. >=D Of course we happened to play in hell, him on a Gladiator, me on a Predator. I spotted him a good ways off, but still within GC range, and we traded PG/GC shots as he dodged towards me and I ran for cover. Of course our firing was very limited, but I was able to get his LL down to yellow as I tripped him a few times. Finally he got into my gravestoned hex, after pounding 2 TBs into my CT, and we had ourselves a good old boxing match. Neither of us ever fell and eventually I was able to punch his CT out after damaging his heat reg. He slammed one more TB into me, having my RT join my LA,RA and LoT in the red zeon, and then shutdown permanently.

Had a good night on wed
Played my first to games against THM. In the 1st my 2plasma/2clg combo did her in hellishly. She could have shields and fry or lower them and die by CLG (hey, she wasn't using her head for anything important anyway)
In the 2nd my MindFlayer reduced her Lichs pilot to soup. Lich was still green everywhere only her pilot was red

Fought Rosary with a gargantua vs my pillager mod.
would have done fine, was getting ac20 hits regularly. It's just that 3GC and 2LL headshots can spoil your whole day.

But the finale was glorious. Me and THM teamed up vs Rosary and AI (was going to Zaddiq but his comp went bye bye). The two of us joined up in the center and started to beat on rosary's AI (driving a 3xp) and THM crashed leaving rosalie and i to finish up with our brain damaged children. THMs AI fought to the death (literally) and did yoeman service in buying time for me to fl## reposition myself in the cooling comfort of a savanah river. The game ended with rosaree's AI ejecting 3 hexes away from me and the danish assasin jumping into the fray minus both arms and his RT (had confined himself to sniping before then) A lucky AC4 hit blew the right leg off his Navajo Justice just after he jumped ending the game. My ?? 2AC7/2AC4 had 5 pts of RT left and 3 LT left (engine in LT by the way) with only LL in the green. The most telling blow of the game was actually delivered by the 3XP AIs missing a prone Hipshot and blasting Roz-R-E causing a series of ammo explosions due to heat overload. Dam i like being lucky

My first win, I think. It was a dark and stormy night in the Dungeon, and we met on heavies, him on a custom rig (can't for the life of me remember the name, but it had LRMs and AC7s. Correct me if I'm wrong.), me on a Bad Omen.

It took a while to find each other, and when we did, the firefight began.

He launched missiles into me and pounded me with ACs while I fired through his shield with my PG and NB. I wasn't able to do much against him but turn his CBT yellow, he had my LA and LT yellow.

Before long, my engine took a hit, then another; then my heat reg got damaged to medium after an unfotunate fall from jumping over a pool of acid.

Michael decided to unload on me then, turning LA and LT red, but the effort caused him to overheat and go off like a roman candle. I ran into his hex and wailed on him with fists, NB, and BRG, taking out his CBT, but sending me into Critical heat. So I stood there and tried to fire without shutting down while he flopped on the floor like a dying fish. finally he was able to stand, but had to go and gave me the game.

Great game, hope we can do it again
