Influence and Leader Replacement

Post by Moltke71 »

The manual says no influence points will be lost when a leader is replaced during recruitment. However, I lose 2-4 points when I do replace the ubitquitous Col. Smith when recruiting.

If you do it on the recruitment screen, then there is no cost. If you still have a problem, please describe in more detail.

I bring up the recruitment screen, select troops, replace Smith and my influence points drop by two on exiting.  I get to the recruit screen by right0clicking on a town and selecting "Recruit".  Not much detail to describe.  I'll try yet again tonight.

In the early campaign, I did this:

I replaced Smith with Sullivan and gave him 1 dragoon, 2 infantry, 1 rifkeman and 1 battery.

At Providence, I replaced Smith with Knox and gave him 2 heavy batteries. So far, influence still 80.

However, at Kingston, I replaced Smith with Lincoln and gave him 1 infantry and 2 militia. Influence dropped to 68.

All of this was on the recruitment screens. I couuld produce no more batteries.

ORIGINAL: Bismarck

2 militia. Influence dropped to 68.

Militias cost influence to build, not men and weapons.
