Error and a Crash

Post by MkXIV »

First let me say I am getting this because I Modified a file so I know it was something I did but when try to start a game I get a
"TNapMastPiece::Load () failed end of column check" error

Now what I did was I changed the costs of Army, Corp, and Divisions in AcwUnits to 0 using excel.

I have the files backedup so no biggie but I was hoping someone might tell me what I did to fail a check is there a minimum cost for the Corp?

Thanks.

Changing the cost shouldn't be a problem, but chances are you may have accidentally changed the formatting of the file -- the problem reported here is that the format of the file you changed does not match what the program expects it to be (there are more or fewer numbers per row than it's expecting).

What did you use to edit the file?  We normally use Excel and save it as a text file, but in doing this we have to make sure that Excel doesn't insert any formatting characters (it sometimes seems to want to separate by commas, which doesn't work).

(By the way, for the next update we are lowering the costs of military groups...not free, but cheaper.)

Thanks for the reply Eric, I'll have to check the formatting when I get home, also good new on the cost break for the groups[:)]
