Scaling down weapons.

Post by Nereth »

Ive made a fighter model and its going nicely, but ive run into a problem with the hardpoints.

The fighter is about the same size as the stock ones, but has thin wings and no bulky places to mount weapons, add to that the fac tthat i want the weapons to shoot out from inside it, and it means the standard hardpoint size is way too low.

How do i scale down the size of the hardpoints?

Ive tried 'scale: #' but it doesnt seem to make a difference. Any ideas?

I presume you mean like missiles and such?

If it's a modded weapon, i.e. one you added to the game, I beleive there is an attribute in the .def file you can set as to whether you want the weapon to be visible or not. Look at the weapons sections of the MOD SDK link on the website here.

If you're using the built-in weapons, you can "cheat" by placing the hardpoints inside the fuselage, just set their locations to something like 0,0,0 or wherever they won't be sticking out through the fuselage.

Its the built in weapons, and although I tried to cheat, there is no place large enough inside the fuselage that can hide them. The fighter is very flat.

I may have to create my own weapons for this.
