Two questions before I purchase.

Post by AKAGI7137 »

As the title implies I am on the verge of purchasing the game via the CD option.

Before I do though can I ask two questions bearing in mind that I a more of games collector than a player.

1) The first is relatively simple - If I buy a CD from the UK site can you confirm that I will receive a full PRINTED manual.

2) The second thing is I note that there was confusion and the wrong version went to 'the master'. Can you confirm what version I would receive if I now (I am in the UK and it is 8.7.07) bought a cd - would it be V1.0 or V1.01? If it was an incorrect/V1.0 version that required patching can you confirm that this cut cd will not be replaced in the near future by a newly pressed Cd where the correct master goes to the presses. As a collector I would rather have a cd 'as it was meant to be' and wait a bit if it was going to be repressed.

Please advise. I am sure I am not the only person curious on this.

I'm in the US but I'm thinking of buying CS Matrix version. I echo his comment about what will be on the CD if I bought the boxed version? Is it the fixed version or will it be the original DL'd version that had problems fixed by patch 1.01?

If its not the "good" version, I have to ask why Matrix can't burn CD's that have a good initial version on it? If there were problems with Version 1.00, why at this point in time can't a customer get the 1.01 "patched" version on the CD.

Please advise ... I'm a good custome of MG.

Eventually a new pressed CD will be available as 1.02, but I am unsure when that would happen.

That sounds good.  A CD with version 1.02 is a plus for me.  I'm patient.  If there's any news when this new CD is ready, please post it.  I'll be anxiously awaiting.

thanks

I wouldnt wait for 1.02 on CD, it may well be that shortly after you picked it up, a 1.03 patch would be out. I think the plans are to maintain on-going support and I imagine there will be a number of patches over the next year to fix, (hopefully) minor things.
