War of Words

Post by Hetz »

Rosary, on his worst day, is I suspect at least 10 times the musician that I was in my prime.

Today ,however, he made the mistake of challenging me to a duel of lyric <wicked, evil grin>

I would not dream of embarassing and old and valued friend by making public his opening thrust but here is my riposte.

(to be sung to Home, Home on the range)

Oh, give me a ToS
Which doesn't run hot
And a Danish Assassin to kill
And I'll finish my days
In a Cherenkov haze
As his ashes drift down to my sill

Home, Home on LeGrange
On the Moons Pockmarked surface we'll play
As his tactics I'll top
And his heads I will cop
For my mantel in sweet home LeGrange

Ghod Larkin is mean
And he doesn't kill clean
As he shatters our ego's like glass
But where would we be
Without him you see
For this game he's created s'a blast

(chorus)

Oh, Iceman the Grim
Has been known to Quim
And Quibble a time or a three
But our Portugese Boozer
Can be a Thor Loser
So steer clear of the mad Port'a'gee

(chorus)

Oh, PC the dear lad
Has gone off to be clad
In our countrys' finest array
And we hope the dear boy
Won't blow up his new toys
Or be hurt in the coming affray

(chorus)

Oh, Lhyrrus the Black
Has so often shellacked
The best that play on the net
But Mikey the gray
Heads back into the fray
Saying: Curses, I will get you yet

(chorus)

Herr Bernd has been known
To make all of us groan
When his callsign lights up in a game
For he's deadly you see
And lacks all nicety
As he marks off a line through your name

(chorus)

Oh, Hetzer the Olds'
Grown feeble not bold
And his hands they will tremble and shake
Though his skills they have flown
As his temper has blown
His luck can still make one's heart break

(you guys didn't think I was gonna give You... a chance to write That One... did you?) :p

(chorus)

That's all for now. I'll deal with the rest of you lot later. <broad Hetzer grin>

(ps: If this doesn't promote me some games I'm hanging up my keyboard):D

O.k. I promise never to send Hetzer lyrics again. At least until next time.

Now I know why you don't like teamgames!

If this is what your jocks have to deal with on intercom, it's no wonder your leader usually shows up alone on the battlefield. :D

But hey, the curtain drew up, the first pawn moved, the first shot was fired (at the first pawn), now where's rosary's lyrical reply?

Lucky you didn't challenge me, Hetzer.

Karacan, the dark poet, who's still trying to find rhymes on chainsaws, headshots and plasmaguns. ;)
In the radiated smoke, the engines burned brightly and lit the darkness like a thousand fireflies.

My rhyme went something like this. I'm sorry but I don't have the original. I had to rewrite from memory. I sent him this message on ICQ to coax him into battle. This was a successful tactic by the way. I then crushed his puny squad beyond all recognition before I was defeated.

Well here is the Sh*t that started it all
Sung to Home, home on the range:

He's hiding from me
on the Internet sea
where my lasers and rockets can't find
his tin plated tos
with the stanky exhaust
and who's brain
will be pickled in brine

Sounds like typical Hetz style to me. Heh heh. Hope you're going to put in a verse about our battles, old friend.

Just wanted to let you all know that even though I really don't have a chance to get online anymore, I'm still going to be checking out the boards here and there. I'm also still looking forward to the release of ToS:WS, and hopefully by then, we'll have an internet connection once more. Until then...fight on.
We sometimes catch a window
A glimpse of what's beyond
Was it just imagination
Stringing us along?
More things than are dreamed about
Unseen and unexplained
We suspend our disbelief
And we are entertained

(to the tune of "Take me out to the ball game")

Oh Hetz' brain is too big,
He could be making spaceships,
But instead he is playing ToS,
Trying to beat me with Titans of Tin,
Cuz it's Shoot, shoot shoot at the Hetzer,
If he can win it's a shame,
Cuz it's One Two Three shots your dead
In the old, Hetzers, Brain!!!
