Replacement rates for the LW

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Replacement rates for the LW

Post by Charest »

I have a question that has been bothering me for a while and I don't know if it's written somewhere I did not saw before...

Anyway, is the replacement rate for the luftwaffe is fixed by the number of losses or by date?

I never went long enough and had never enough losses to really see a difference. In fact, against the AI, your average xp rating is usually going up, not down.

not sure I follow, but will try to reply based on what I think you are asking

the pilot replacement rates are based on time and date

there is a base number set, and then that base number is X's based on what year it is

replacement pilot exp can be effected by different things

(in the new version, we also have a extra training effect, if you can reach the goals)

You understood the question. So you can have a clear advantage to wisely manage your forces at the beginning, since your replacement pool won't just be lost as time goes by. I also saw that the qualities of your leader really do affect the starting XP of your men. I saw once (I cheated) in the allied camp that I completely destroyed one BG, and now it received only only 99 xp pilots because the only one to come back alive was a 99 leader with 99 on both stats.

I had a unit completely wiped out once, all the pilots KIA or MIA, and it received 0 exp replacement pilots.

Interestingly enough, pilots with single-digit Exp ratings flying Bf-110s have remarkably little trouble shooting down unescorted B-17s.

And it would still be interesting to know what the base number and the X´s are.

Harley would be the one with better understanding on that, and most times he has felt that is something the player really shouldn't know

so will leave that for him to tell what he knows, if he wants to
