What is the point of the request access button?

Post by Dancing Bear »

Hi all
is the request access button necessary? If an ally has clicked the "Grant access button", why do you then need to request access? Once an ally unclicks the grant access, the visiting ally can get the boot.
Also, the necessity of requesting access during the first month of the game creates a problem, since you can't request access, until after an alliance is made. This means for the first month, Austria, for instance can not enter Prussia, to assist in an early French invasion. Removing the "request access" function would remove this.

The point is for AI countries, it has no function when the target is a human.

Can we get rid of this feature for human players. As far as I can tell, you need to make this request every month to renew it or you get the boot, which is awkward.

And again there is still that loop hole in the January 1805 that can be exploited by an attacker, because you can not ally and request access in the first month.
