GPW v5 6-player

Post by jjdenver »

[EDIT: Game is full. I tried my best to give everyone the side they desired. I think everyone got their first choice, maybe one person got 2nd choice. That all left German south empty so I am taking it. Barthheart will start game on Monday]

New scenario from the great designer Tom Weber and Mark Johnson. My other game is moving so slowly that I thought another would be good in parallel.

According to Tom:
"You can play either a side (Axis vs Soviets) or split the game up into sectors (AG North and Finland, AG Center, AG South and Romania, Soviet NW Fronts, Soviet Center Fronts, Soviet Southern Fronts)...Up to 6 players can play if the side are split into sectors."

Here will be the players (we can start w/ less than 6 if desired - maybe 4 instead - we'll see how much interest there is)

German AG North + Finland - Barthheart
German AG Center - IRONCROM
German AG South and Romania - jjdenver
Soviet NW Fronts - Lars
Soviet Center Fronts - tweber
Soviet Southern Fronts - Vic

Version of AT to be used: 1.11 Beta - and we'll upgrade once the gold version is released
Version of scenario: v5 (Tom has buffed Soviets in this latest version)

Turns: You should be able to turn around your turn within 12-24 hours - sooner if possible so the game can keep moving...at least as often as possible you should be able to do your turn quickly - occasionally we all know that real life intervenes though. :)

If you have to step out of the game be sure that you've used a password that you are willing to give up so that the game can continue.

Options:
- 3 fronts active
- Fog of War
- Passwords
- Screenshots
- Anti PBEM cheat

House rules:
- Each player (front) is allowed one do-over per year. This should be used only in case the player does something silly - something like an accidental click that transfer all staff out of an HQ instead of the truck you meant to transfer. This means each player can re-do a turn one time in 1941, once in 42, etc.

Pls PM me.

I would like to try as Soviet Center or South.  If we did a game with 4, it might go quicker and we could put the southern sector asleep.

Ok Boyos,

I'm back and ready to play. I'll get the patch loaded and the new version of this scenario when I get home from work tonight. I haven't had a chance to look at the changes so this will be really interesting....[X(]

Ok.... another delay.... We got home last night at midnight and I had to be at work at 8 am this morning. Now I'm really bushed. I managed to get a Dip. game turn off but I can't seem to concentrate anymore. I haven't started the game yet. I'll be sending it out tomorrow evening. Also I'll be turning the map labels on.

Sorry for the delay...[:(][>:][>:][>:][>:][>:]

Just sent turn 2 to IRONCROM, hope he has time today. As I'm at work you'll see a "wiped log" cheat message.

PS I'll be out until Sunday night
