Totally Miffed and since I am talking about it, you know I am miffeded

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Crud and other stuff

I ordered a book, been waiting for two weeks for it to get here, was sent by Royal Mail, got it today, great, in fact it is a very good book, just what I wanted, but it is not what the title said it was

the title was
RAF Fighter Command Victory Claims of World War II, 1939-45

I get that title, but it is part two, 1941-43

I have found about 7 copies of the book I ordered, and all of them have the ISBN number of the Part II book, but the title is wrong

I wrote to the book seller to complain, but think they will say, the ISBN is correct, so they sent the correct book

ISBN for Pt I (39-40) is 0-9538061-8-9

ISBN for Pt II (01Jan41-30Jun43) is 0-9546201-5-1

The entries in the books are for claims not for actual confirmed victories but are great for placing pilots with units on certains dates, especially the guys who might have only made a claim or two. Entries include initials not full names but that is more detailed than a lot of actual unit documents from the time.

roger, that is the hassle, they are listing the book by the wrong title, I wouldn't mind the first one, I can still make use out of the one I got, besides basic info for me

If I recall correctly when I ordered pt II I enquired at the time to make sure it was pt II as there was a duplication with the ISBNs except I was making sure I was getting pt II and not pt I.

Hence the origin of the term 'two weeks' when people ask about how long it will take to release a game.

Sorry to hear about it bud.

ahhh

been in contact with the book store, they say they are willing to give me the money back if I send it back (of course it was a book store in England)

they checked and say, that Amazon made a mistake in the book listing (which to be fair, is not Amazon's fault totally either, as I see the same thing in 3 different book stores offering the book)

the bad part now is I don't think the book as named, was even done (or done yet)

(found two other books "I want" but both are over 100 bucks, LOL, all the ones I want, are out of print and in the 100-300 range)

it is a live and learn deal, but with out knowing there was a part one or part two, how are you going to know the title is wrong

but in the end, I will keep the book, it is a good book, just the info is not what I wanted it for, but is info I would like to know

oh well
