Hi,

Great AAR as always............ but it would appear that rifle fire cannot only shoot down B52 bombers at high altitude but sink aircraft carriers operating miles offshore. [8|]
It's stuff like this that caused me to erase this game from my hard drive & put it back on the shelf. Hopefully the next version of the game will fix things. [&o]

I believe this is due to Pestilence, I have the same problem in my scenarios.

A more likely occurance was NVA heavy artillery. The longer range guns can reach out 5-7 hexes and have a respectable anti-ship rating. Of course if that happened it should have shown in the replay.

Or maybe maintenance or pestilence? The US did almost lose a carrier when a missiile fired from an aircraft into other fueling/arming planes. It was effectively lost as it had to return to the US for repairs.

I looked through the replay for turn 28 again and it didn't say anything about an aircraft carrier evaporating. It ( the aircraft carrier in question ) was present in turn 27 but lost in 28 so I'm sure it happened during the NVA turn 28....but nothing in the replay. ????

I have no idea what happened to this particular boat.
