I've played TOAWIII now for a while and basically I really like the game, but it takes too long to play. I realize that the turn mechanic and scope of the game is advanced but sometimes it gets tiresome. So I would like suggestions on:
1) Good small scale scenarios (few turns and not that many units)
2) Another game, similar to TOAWIII but a bit simpler and faster to play. I've tried Battlefront and Korsun Pocket but didn't care much for the graphics interface.

Thank you!

I have a spreadsheet that lists the TOAW III scenarios by size. The attached screenshot is of the bottom of the list. You can see that Arracourt is the smallest.

That looks like a great tool. Is there someplace one could get a copy of that spreadsheet?

Thanks,

Forgive me for steering the thread, though it is titled 'recommendations'. A thought occurred to me that could be easy to implement(like I would know) and helpful to the game. Ground units have several available dispositions. Perhaps naval units, and I already mentioned a reserve status, could have the options of being in 'line formation' giving an advantage in a surface combat though would slow down a fleet. 'Column formation' would be the fastest method of travel, though 'Anti-Air formation' while slowing down a formation would offer better defense for both air and submarine defense. Zigzagging would slow a fleet to a crawl but provide much better defense from sub attacks.

Thank you Curtis for the file. Any recommendations on another game. How about Advanced Tactics?
