My cunning plan is to pick an argument with Mrs. DivePac on next Thursday, so she won’t be talking to me for the weekend.
It's exactly the opposite in my house. Our moments of "intense fellowship" are usually followed by several days of discussion about the relative merits of each case, the possible outcomes should one or the other be followed, the need to be open about our true feelings regarding the matter under discussion, and how this (the intense fellowship AND the matter under discussion) affects our relationship. That's what happens when both spouses are pastors and have done extensive counseling and pastoral care work as well as being and part of a clergy couple. So, I'd best have a cunning plan for a long sabbath of relaxation and recreation not involving going out doors for it to work with the other half of us. In other words, give her the credit card and say 'have a good time, Sugar.'
