Victory Conditions and Events

Post by Max 86 »

Just started playing.

Sorry for covering old ground but I have not found the answer to the most basic question.....What are the Victory conditions? Think I read that if playing the Axis you must defeat the other two Alliances but what does tha mean specifically? I have taken Leningrad, Moscow and Stalingrad and beyond. The Russkies keep on fightin'!

Do I have to take every city in Russia and UK to win?

Also, is there an explanation as to what the effects of the events are? What does a Work, Work, Work event change the game? Does it add PPs? Why doesn't Germany ever get a Work event? I really want to know more than just the Work event.

Thanks

The victory points, in green circles on important cities, actually make a good victory condition. At the end, 450 turn/weeks they will be apportioned to the owners, each coalition alive will get the ones they hold, and neutrals will get the rest. High score wins. If you want to end earlier this method can be used at that point.

Thanks for the quick response. Fun game overall. Back to the Eastern Front.

Oh yeah...while I'm here. Does AI Allies ever mount an invasion ala Overlord? In my game the date in Jun42 so I have time to plan my Sealion adventure. Was wondering if the game is programmed to purchase enough AIPs to launch such an invasion?

I have seen a co-belligerent (i.e. NOT Allied) AI-controlled USA invade Norway, but not, so far, France. It may be the garlic.

Some invasions occur by event, also.

To know more about the event you must play as the country which is affected by the event.

I can tip you that the Work, work, work event fires only for countries which are not at war.
