France Declares War!

Post by comte »

France Has Declared war on the Empire of Japan due to the recent attacks on its patrol boats in the South China Sea. And because of the harrassment of French Shipping in the China Trade by Japanese vessels. France has called on Great Britain to join together with the United States, Australia, and New Zealand in a war to stop Japanese aggression in Asia and to lift the restrictions to freedom of navigation into China. The United States has welcomed France into the fold and has asked for supplies from IndoChina to be sent to the beleaguered army in Manila.

Wow. My AI campaign just entered 1924, and you've already had more 'international incidents' then I have! Good to know that they can happen though - the only IJN activity (that I know of) W of the Phillipines has been a single raid on Singapore in the first week of the war.
