Dropped bridge near HK and landed in China. Hope to isolate the South from the rest of the country.

Paris will fall. There is no way I may rebuild all thouse destroyed bridges in time. Also a terible air raid was executed on Paris and our flak and fighter defence lose a battle inflicting 0 casulties on massed allied bombers. Evacuation of Paris is forbiden and order "fight to the death" was issued. Relief forces are drowned in Rhine river becouse they dont know to swimm well.
On the other side - in Russia noting new. We are waiting for a better times. But in Finland we did a move of the day. Our halfblind spies informed us that enemy redines is 10 and that entrenchment was 40. We attack and again we were massacrated. Funny how I am still alive after dunig so many mistakes. I wonder when will Russian strike?

cveta should win a new prize [:D] (he's already got the one for most humorous posts)
This one should be for tenacity [&o]
I can't think of any game I've followed where somebody kept up the good fight so long after defeat was certain.
Most people (myself included) would have thrown in the towel long ago!!!
3 cheers for cveta!! [&o]
RE: WaW ver. R
What? Are you talking that Germany will go down?? This is anather propaganda from the east. German solders are superior to any other even vhen they dies. We fight and we will win at the end. New wonderwepons are redy. Ask people in Manchester ( city was ruined last turn ).
Only problem is that Eva Braun is too often in our HQ so our beloved Fuhrer cannot concentrate on the fight properly. Next time he will do the oposit. War come first then plessures. And we will have a lot of plessures in all the lands we liberate.
Last but not least - surender? Why? No foregin soldiers has come even close to our borders. If you come to Berlin we will nagotiate.

Turn 35 done and sent.
Russia started spring offensive. Successful attacks at Tallin and Vitebsk. Partisans managed to eliminate half of an artillery unit near Vitebsk. Meanwhile the fortifications at Mannerheim line are seriously damaged. Air raids and artillery bombardment continue.
Paratroopers that tried to advance in the area between Vitebsk and Kiev have been forced to retreat due to attack of Russian tank divisions. One para unit nearly eliminated.
In China some units left their defence positions and advance towards the Japanese lines. While British forces march on Canton south of the river Si, Chinese units move on the northern banks of the river.

German Engeniers traped in France unable to move so we prepare defensive positions on the our side of maginot line. Partisans in Russia hinder our supllay lines. Basicly noting new exept lot of dead Gemans.

Med is quiet as all focus in the ETO is in France. I am able to clear out the Maginot line and also capture Lille.
In the Pacific, I move more troops into SE China and bomb several locations.

Successful Russian counterattacks at various fronts: Tallinn, Vitebsk and Dnjepropetrowsk. Supported by tanks the infantry forced the Germans to retreat after they suffered heavy losses.
Black Sea fleet shelled an airfiled at Odessa. One of two transports damaged and might be unable to take off.
Several partisan groups disturbing supply lines in the back of the German frontline.
In China several units advanced. No fighting yet.

Hmmm. Noting new to report. Allied comanders forget to mention that he lost some of his aircraft over the France ( finaly thouse flak units score a hit ).
New German defense line is establish. Some land will be given to allied, and 1 big city also, but this is the price we have to pay.
In Russia we did some strategic moves, but we are not able to advance due to constant partisan activity. We killed them in large numbers but they constantly come bck for more.

RE: WaW ver. R
So, here's the big picture if I have it right:
Axis Europa: Suffering mightily. Lots of units remaining, but production is low due to bombing. West is making significant progress towards Berlin. Forces in the Soviet Union holding up moderately against Soviet advances.
West: Rapid advances towards Berlin. Now controlling most of France and BeNeLux.
Controls India, Mandalay, Malay peninsula, SE Asia.
I'm unsure which Pacific islands are controlled by whom.
Naval battles are ongoing with no clear winner?
Incursion into China didn't materialize?
Soviet Union: Very slowly destroying German forces in Soviet Union.
Slow geographical advances towards Berlin.
In control of all its original production centers except Kiev?
China: Some progress towards regaining Chinese coastal areas.
Any movement towards Beijing?
Japan: Naval standoff with no clear winners?
I'm unsure what islands are controlled and status of former Dutch colonies rich in supply.
Still in control of 1939 occupied China and Manchuria.
Who occupies Wuhan and Changsha?
So for those of us betting on who the actual winner will be, odds are good that it will be Tom with the West.
BUT, victory won't be his until he can control BOTH Berlin AND Tokyo.
Soviet Union seems to have just a slightly lesser chance than the West, since it only has to capture Berlin, but it better hurry. Not having thought carefully enough about all options, I"m not sure if SU can declare war on the West, enabling it to take Berlin away from West, should West get there first.
For the first time ever, China seems to have an outside chance of recapturing all original Chinese territory.
Japan, by unexpectedly starting in winter causing severe supply difficulties, and brining USA in early, was never able to capture all of the Greater East Asia Co Prosperity Sphere. Thus, it doesn't seem to have an actual chance of winning. But, like Germany, it can have a very significant impact on who the winner is.
Can it hang on in China? Can it retain enough Pacific islands to keep Western bombers away from its production?
Does it have enough supply to keep its fleet at sea and its fighters in the air?
Can Japan attain a moral victory by keeping the West out of its home islands long enough for to cause an end of war due to Soviet or Chinese victory, enabling it to at least say it was never conquered?
Stiff Japanese or German resistance could delay a victory by the West enough to make it a true 3-way race between the West, Soviet Union, and even China.
Did I get this right? Did I miss anything?
Been great fun following this and it looks like some significant action and perhaps twists still to come.

I am using the Mariana's to bomb Japan. I have been sloppy with my fleet so an invasion will be tricky. It will probably require destroying all the cities. I do have a toe hold in China but not much troops there. I have a ton of troops in Pearl but need to get ships over.

Many of the island's are air bases which means they are impossible to supply. I might suggest making them also ports.
DEI and PI are owned by Japan but knocked out and continually surpressed.

Successful attack in the Baltic area forced the Germany to retreat after suffering heavy losses. Russian infantry at Vitebsk cleared the area northwest of the town. German forces seem to we weak there. Together with upcoming forces from The Baltic area, the German units west of Vitebsk getingt under pressure from two sides.
After heavy artillery bombardment Russian forces crossed the Dnjepr and took Kiev. Armoured forces standing east of the river ready for further advance.
Fortifications at Mannerheim line destroyed by artillery and air raids. Russian infantry attacked successfully. Defenders suffered heavy losses and had to retreat.
Chinese theatre:
Successful attacks cleared the way to Wuhan. Chinese units reached the city from south and north. First attack on Changsa. The attack failed, but the Japanese losses are high. At the northern front artillery shelled a Japanese unit, but no Chinese advance.

I wonder what "heawy loses" means. Hard words. Kiev recaptured, remaining bridges destroyed. Come again please.
Counterattack on Leningrad front executed. SU tank units wiped out, rest completly surounded. Baltic theathre dont give me a headeck for now.
Tom show me a fast unload tactics so I tray to apply the same. So Italians are back in Africa ( Tripoli surounded, Cairo bridges destroyed ). Germans make a small landing on "allied" part of Norway. Submarines killing lots of supplay and pp in Atlantic. Small see batles executed with 1 destroyer sink. In defence against west our subs fight brawely sinking few destroyers and air battle over France was 50/50.
About bombing on Germany cytties - yes it decimated my production, but all demage is fixed almost instantly. Bridges are anather problem.
Germany is doomed I know, but defensive line is redy. Units to counterattack are redy. So let them come. Partisan problem solved on all fronts. Only Titos partisan still live in mountains in Bosnia. Let them stay there.
Who will win - not me for certan but I will tray to stay alive as long as passible
