Game Freezes 1.04b2

Hello,

I'm having a game freeze in 1.04b2. There is no error message, it just stops working and windows (7 64bit pro) just tells me the program stopped responding. The game was started with 1.04b2. Reloading the save file gives same result, crashes at same time.

Prior to that, I had a game started with 1.04b1 and patched after a few months of game time and also had freezes at around the same game time (2667 and 2770) that occured at some point when research was being completed. Was able to continue playing by reloading the last save but it eventually crashed anyway after completing another research. Can it be related to the crash with 1.04b2?

Save file was uploaded as "Antigen 23 Apr 10 Game freeze.rar" and contains dxdiag.

you can view what happened via the event viewer. click the start button in win7 then in the 'search programs and files' box, type in event viewer. It should open an entire administrative window that shows you a log of every single thing that has happened to your computer. Your program freezing should be part of the 'error' or 'critical' portion of the reports. Alternatively you can sort reports by time and type (application only) and check to see what files/registry entry caused the freeze and the nature of the freeze. Once you have armed yourself with said information, come back to this forum and pour forth your findings so that your fellow brothers and sisters might learn from your encounter!
