Where to get "Desert Fox 1941"?

Post by slyone »

Does anyone know where I can still buy the Mega Campaing Desert Fox 1941?

I tried all the store links from Matrixgames' homepage. None of them has it in stock.

I tried to search it by google - nobody sells it.

Is there any place in this world that I can get this campaign?

It appears to be sold out worldwide, as I can't even seem to find it from any of the international dealers.

I tried a couple of sources which most people don't think of - Amazon.com UK for one - who will sometimes have items not sold in the states (the Yalovlev book is one example: OOP here, very much available via Amazon.com.uk).

No luck with Desert Fox. I would repeat my suggestion to Matrix: Allow one of the regulars to copy MCNA, on a limited basis, for those who are just coming into the ranks. If no one is interested in this solution, so be it.

We might at the very least discuss the possibility - ???

I have a Desert Fox 1941 mega campaign autographed by the Kunel, Wild Bill, himself, that I might consider parting with for the right offer:cool:

Sorry for confusion but I found on the other topic of the Matrixgames' forum that the mega campaigns will be relaunched as a pay-per-download or a Gold CD collection. I think I'll wait for that.

Anyway thanks for replies.;)

Way to go!! Matrix continues to be one of the very few game publishers that actually listens to their customers. The others pull the old "tell us what you think" routine, send an automatic respose thanking you and ignore the suggestions.

Come to think of it, I can't remember a single other gaming company that would do many of the things Matrix does. Having gamers run the company is important and always has been.

As the Brits and Aussies would say:Good on you, mate.

This has not been confirmed but options that will be looked into once Watchtower also sells out. No promises but at least they will explore the possibilties.

That's all we can ask for. My personal take on it is that Matrix would be smart to allocate a small amount of funds for resissues - keep the customer coming back.

A classic that isn't available doesn't do the company marketing a whole lot of good. We see too much of this with most of the other gaming publishers - NovaLogic is in my mind one of the worst in this category.

I'm delighted to hear that. A lot of hard work went into the first ever Mega Campaign.

It birthed a new way of playing SPWAW. The written material and the pictures make it very worthwhile as a learning tool on North Africa - 1941. Add to that dozens of scenarios and alternatives and it is something worth having.

I agree with old Bing. It is good business sense to give folks what they want. That is what keeps any company alive.

I will do that, my friend. I'm up to my nose in a new game for John Tiller. I can't reveal the theme but it is one that will prove to be very interesting to all of you guys, especially the post WW2 group. This one is looking GREAT!

I will be in touch, Mr. Bing.

Oh, I'm trying also to get a blood clot dissolved from my left leg, trying to learn how to be single after my very recent divorce and trying to scout out the lovely ladies. I never learn
