Iwo Jima Scenario.
1.) at the end of turn 40, (of 40 turns)
I click next turn
it gives me the victory points tally, (fair enough)
I click next turn
it empties the screen/ map of units, (okay)
I click next turn
and it dumps me back to desktop! (why not game screen menu?)


2.) The Naval HQ is invincible, it was under siege for 15 turns, and despite being surrounded by all the tank battalions the AP strength never dropped below '6'. Ditto Suribachi. Fair enough the mountain top, but that damn HQ was only in a level 3 fortification.
15 Turns to conquer 95% of the island. (very easily) 15 turn stalemate for 3 units.

I used all the bombardments and air strikes up early. (next time I'll keep some in reserve).
Which leads me to the questions....
1. Is there any way of resupplying carriers/ battleships for air strikes or bombardments? ( I assume not.)
2. There needs to be something in the U.I. that indicates how many strikes/ bombardments have been used and how many are left.

Towards the end of the game there were some airstrikes available, that I may have missed earlier, but they were completely ineffectual on the last 3 units.

It's the way the game ends that was disconcerting, being bumped straight back to desktop.

The invincibility of the Naval HQ unit was really annoying, losing a level due to successful encirclement, then maxing up it's AP, seems counter-intuitive. If a siege has been successful, then surely it should be equally starved of AP for that turn.

Also, it would be really good if the report texts were selectable, as it could then be edited into AAR's. At present it appears more as graphic, than as text.

You can use air strike as long as your carrier has got more than 3 SP
Bombardment can be done every turn as long as the unit is stationing in the coastal hex (however we are going to change that to be dependable only on range).
