Fw190F's

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Fw190F's

Post by ool »

I have groups currently using ME410's and Ju88C6-A's that i wanted to convert to Fw190F's. When I go to the change aircraft option screen the FW190F type isn't a option. Is this another one where you have to have 500 of this type in the pool before you can convert other groups to this type?

Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

the 190 F is one of the ground attack planes (Jabo)

Jabo's can break out of the Jabo line, but don't believe anything can "downgrade" to the Jabo, or the Trainer types

Pity. Equipped with rockets and doctrine of attack bombers direct they are very effective. Their armour rating of 2 is useful in this tactic as well. Oh well four groups will have to do.

Thanks!

I have found the Gs more useful so far... They have such a long duration time that I can send them up before I expect the Allies to be spotted in radars, have enough time to maneuver to an attacking position, or, what I usually do, wait until the attack is egressing, to deal with possible not-as-well escorted secondary raids, or wiping out the stragglers. They are nearly ideal straggler killers.. The Gruppe that operates 190Gs in my PBEM has victories/losses of over 3/1. They are crap fighters and not very good bomber killers but their duration makes them very useful. They can also operate from further fields and cover a good area of operations.

there will be more coming

and yes, the G is a good plane if used in the right areas, just like the Twins can be, as long as they don't run into fighters !

JU88C-A6. I have one 12 plane unit of these beauties and all they do is kill stragglers. I'm in the middle of October and their record is 169 kills 10 losses. Now that is a record that is for the hall of fame!

Is it possible to add the Me-410 to the SKGs? Would make sence at least (since the Me 410A was also a "Schnellbomber" and SKG means Schnellkampfgeschwader.)

It would also be great if Gruppen once equipped with Jets can "downgrade" to the normal stuff again.
