Sandbox Mode?

Armchair generals and fans of grand strategy can take their turns building great empires or protecting the world from tyranny during these pivotal moments in world history. In addition to nation-level trade and diplomatic concerns, you are tasked with managing region and city-level projects, choosing the right technologies to research, directing military movement and development, conducting international diplomacy, maintaining domestic stability and producing resources vital to making everything else possible. No two games of Making History II: The War of the World will be the same as there are an unlimited number of ways to achieve your goals. The choices you make determine the history of your nation. Whether that history will speak of a liberator or a conqueror is up to you!

Sandbox Mode?

Post by BloodLust »

Hello, I'm interested in purchasing this game but was wondering if they ever added a Sandbox or Unlimited turn mode? I downloaded this game along time ago from Muzzy and really disliked it. Besides from bugs my biggest complaint was the limited turns. How can you have a enjoyable "Grand Strategy" game when your restricted with turns or time limits. I actually prefer trying to take the little guy, such as small countries and trying to turn them into a world power. This game at the time I d/l it with it's turn limit structure made all the other countries unplayable since it would take too much time to build or do anything with turn limits. I'm just hoping they added the ability for a Sandbox style of game play or maybe a way to mod the games files to do such.

Hi Bloodlust,

You always have the option to keep playing beyond the time limit. We've had players continue to decades beyond the official scenario end dates. But the tech tree will max out with late 40s-early 50s tech.
