Am I the only one having trouble searching the forum ?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Am I the only one having trouble searching the forum ?

I never get a single hit on my search words whatever I type in. Either I have failed my intelligence check or it can not be a very intuitive solution to this.

Hmm it seems you're right, search is not working for WitE for some reason, got no hits whatsoever for: leaders, HQ, railroad, that should've given me at least some hits.
It does give results if you search for an author though, weird.

Search is broken, completely.  You can search for topics that are clearly there and it comes back with no hits.

Maybe someone can move this thread to Matrix tech support if there is such a forum as it is not a WitE issue.

I agree with you guys. The search engine isn't helpful at all. It often returns no hits on obvious stuff.

Hi all,

Guys... it has always been like this... the Matrix forum search is and was... well... simply broken... it's been like this for years... [:(]

The only way to make some kind of useful search is to search all posts by some users manually (if you know that user posted something you want to find)... that's how I do search for some of my old posts (I know I posted them but Matrix Forum search can't locate them via keywords)...

Same here. I can search for Gary Grigsby's War in the East and get no results. If I search for WITE I get results for "The Dukes of Hazard". Not working well at all.

Whoever says its been broken for years is mistaken. :) it has always worked for me up until a few days ago when i posted saying does the PBEM server have any anti-cheat stuff. Hopefully they can kick or rebuild the database indexes for the search.

It has not worked for me for the past 10 days. I am rather surprised Matrix has not looked into the matter. If they are not going to fix it, then just remove it. as randma Cary always said: "Sh t, or get off the pot."
Perhaps there is a way to search the forums using Google? I know that the Paradox forums do not have search engine, but they instruct you how to search the forums just as well using google. something like
"site: forums paradox plaza (then search term)

Huh?

It's never worked very good. Better than nothing, though. Wait! No it's not. [8|]
