multiple leader deaths by single air attack

Post by randallw »

As in instructed by Pavel I have made this problem it's own thread.

I can't really repeat the problem; it seemed to have just happened randomly, both times it happened.

Attached save is from right after the first time it happened.

A few days ago a horde of German leaders died in an air attack; first death happened, replacement shows up, immediately dies in the same attack, replacement #2 shows up, dies, replacement #3 shows up, dies.....it stopped around the 8th or 12th replacement.

Last night it happened again, with 6 or 7 Rumanian generals dying in one attack.

I'm guessing the Axis are already trying to save fuel by having carpooling, to the extreme of using clown cars. [:D]

Hi all,

Do you possibly have savegame file before it happened?

Eh, sorry, no.  I usually save multiple times during my turn ( lots of overwriting ), but not after every attack.  I have the very beginning of the turn saved, right after the computer ended it's own, and before I did anything for my portion.  Would it help?

It happened to me as well.  Thought it was WAD and kinda cool... a rare but lucky die roll.  I'm Russian and this is one of my prefered tactics to kill off some German generals. Sorry no save.  But I keep on doing this every turn. Since it is hard to replicate, I think it is just a lucky die roll.

The air attack happens across the week. It's not just one raid. So the replancement leader got hit during another subsequent raid. Totally unfortunate for the receiving end.

LMAO. That's so funny, my wife and I were reduced to tears. [:D][:D][:D]

But seriously, something as crazy as this needs to be looked into.

I thought this was so funny when I first read it a few days ago that I showed it to my 13 year old son and he even enjoyed it. This made my day. [:)]

The air attack actually involved paradropping Vasily Zaitsev onto the German HQ.
