Turn 14 - start

It was another turn of static fronts in north and centre. Our forces seem equally strong and Encircled isn't inclined to give any ground, especially that his units are well entrenched. I was attacked in few places but it seems it was rather done to show me what will happen if I move my units elsewhere.

Situation in the south is much more interesting. Although my forward divisions were isolated it wasn't important. What mattered was holding positions next to Rostov and I managed to do it.

Odessa stayed isolated and I should get the city rather sooner than later.

Turn 14 - movement

In the north, I felt I can not wait any longer. Assembled panzer forces weren't 100 percent ready, but I thought it will be enough for achieving minor local success. I didn't want to let Encircled to withdrawn his units behind Velikaya river without fight.
I was wrong in my evaluation of the situation. Thanks to my inferior tactical skills created pocket will certainly be broken. ehhh

With increased activity of AGN, AGC saw much less action. Main reason was division of my forces there between two separated areas - attacking in two directions was much less than half efficient in each of them.

In the south I managed to secure both ports in Taganrog Ray and during that process I captured Taganrog's industry. Unfortunately I wasn't able to surround Encircled's divisions in Don's bend. Finally, Odessa has fallen and I am slowly approaching Crimea.


It is half of September and winter is definitely coming.

Turn 15 - start

Practically no fighting took place in AGN area, what doesn't mean Encircled wasn't busy. Well conducted attack was enough to break my pocket and carefully placed reserves will make recreating it challenging task.

Centre was busy with intensive but inconclusive battles. If my position is weak I am attacked. If area is understrength I am facing local counter-offensive. Even in places where I am relatively strong I can't make meaningful breakthrough - in Kursk and Orel area my pz corps was badly beaten, and Soviet seem to be as strong as Germans there.

South was quiet. Partially surrounded divisions in Donets bend beaten my panzers back. There won't be any pockets in near future there.

But there were positives too. Disposition of Encircled's troops near Smolensk didn't change. I hope to exploit it soon.

Please take this constructively, but looking at your shots, you seem to have very poor command organization. It is very important that you organize your divisions into Corps, and keep those divisions within range of those Corps. The Corps should have appropriate leaders (high MECH ratings for Panzer troops, etc), and should be within range of Army HQs.

It appears you have little to no cohesion. A few examples:

1. The shot of AGNs Panzers showed them all HQ'ed to OKH; maybe you changed that though
2. The AGN spearhead appears to be a corps of 2nd Army; I bet that Corps does not have a Panzer General. Also, where is the rest of 2nd Army? Is it in range of Corps/Army HQ?
3. AGN spearhead also has units of 4th Panzer Army, which also has:
-1 Division visible near Belgorod
-What appears to be the Army HQ down by Bryansk
4. 2nd Panzer Army has a random orphan division near Smolensk. The rest of this army is way down by the Black Sea
5. One stretch of line north of Gorlovka shows 4 infantry divisions on the line, each from a different army: 17th, 6th, 11th, and 2nd Panzer

I may be wrong, but you command structure appears to be a mess. You should spend some APs to fix it. Hope that helps!

See the shot below; that's only a dozen or so hexes of front, but I count 8 armies in there, not including the RHG unit:
