In the north arriving infantry start taking burden of advance. River is Luga crossed.

In AGC area, thanks to 1 corps build-up I was able to penetrate deeply, but still no chances of creating meaningful encirclements.

In the south I pushed really hard and far but my supply lines are really stretched and I have to use big chunk of my mobile forces to protect my flanks what considerably slows my advance.

Turn 6 - start

Rapid advance brought first fruits.

My lines in AGC and AGD area are so stretched I can barely manage to use more than one corps to advance. I was trying to use more and was nice rewarded by cavalry intrusion which limited my MP points and cost me some Romanian planes. It will affect my chances for build-up.

There are positives too - for 3rd consecutive turn AGC have 1 corps build-up and previous turn was first when I was able to do it in AGS area, plus my forward division in both zones were well supplied by air.

Turn 6 - end

It is turn 6 and I am really far, far into Russia, thus my supply is really limited. If it was game with random weather, appearance of mud would probably take much bigger toll than in game against Encircled. In that case I would probably part my way with WitE. My wife and boss would not stand my complaining. [;)] Or maybe I am underestimating them, and they would come up with strategic masterpiece.[:D]

Back to virtual reality.

In AGN area infantry advances and panzers are rested. Unfortunately HQs are more than 19MP from railhead.

In the centre my tanks roam as they please and infantry slowly widens corridor. I planned to pocket him between upper Dnepr and Vyazma, well, it didn't work.

There are some good and some bad news from AGS. I got Poltava's industry and blocked factories in Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov. On the other hand, Stephane's cavalry raid made planned build-up impossible - HQ was 20 instead of desired 19. Now, I know that I should read between the lines, especially manuals and patches descriptions. [:)]

Soviet casualties are terribly low and It looks like they won't go up in near future.

Turn 7 - start

My situations is not as good as I thought.

In the north I face relatively weak opposition, so I remain positive.

In the centre, Stephane's cavalry in Prypet marches, masses of his forces north and south of Smolensk slow my infantry advance considerably. That leads to situation, when my panzers have to hold front line and not many units can be used to attack.

Situation in the south is much worse - supply corridor to armoured spearhead is so narrow, that hardly any petrol was transported. 6 divisions have below 10 MP, another 3 (plus 1 brigade and 1 regiment) just over that figure. Only 2 have around 30. Bless air supply.

I am not a big fan of the long, deep, yet narrow advance. I could be completely off base but it makes me nervous just looking at it
