Note on why missions are cancelled

Post by Crackaces »

It would be very helpful if the Animation or the Combat Replay made some note of why a mission gets canceled. Weather, Supply, Milo sells the attack plans to the enemy .. .[8D] It is more than frustrating to have a large raid not fly and not have a single clue why...

Messages normally show on screen or in the events box (bottom left) when mission is cancelled.

Well .. I just had 5 bombing missions, 2 sweeps, and 2 escorts not fly [;)] no messages ... believe me I replayed twice ..[8D] is is possible to write this out into the "unknown" section of the combat report file?

You don't get told if the mission never happens - like lack of supply, etc, but if the mission is created and then aborts, it is reported.

It is that "etc" thing that makes this particular problem frustrating. I might suggest that a game should not be frustrating. [;)] I am going to assume too many fighters exists over the target and my boys will not fly because all the bases have 2X supply. I do not know this but that is all I can deduce at this point. If there are too many fighters a message to that affect might be handy rather than just not fly .."Its a suicide mission sir!!" [8D]
