This morning was Mass/Velocity day. Longstreet’s charge against Palmer @ Van Cleve. Would Wood have made a difference? We’ll never know. Interesting tactical differences from Picket’s line up at Gettysburg and how he had Hood’s, Johnson’s, Preston’s brigades aligned at Chicamauga. How much of that was Pete and how much serendipity, we’ll never know.
Some of the morning’s analyses deals with the effects of victory and what it does to unit cohesion. An important element when we get to Thomas’ defense.
Lot of the analysis for this morning is the comprehension and activity of the respective General officers. Leadership elements. Hmmmmm.

John, believe it or not I have always been interested in American Civil War! [:)]
I have read many books about it (I even have Sheera father/son American Civil War trilogy "The Killer Angels", "Gods and Generals", "The Last Full Measure") and watched every movie about it that was available to me (and of course I do love movies "Gettysburg" and "Gods and Generals" - still waiting for "The Last Full Measure" movie)... [;)]
