Comparison with Conflict Blue

Post by Remmes »

Having followed the release of this game with much interest, I have a question which I'm sure could be answered here. How does 'Command' compare to Global Conflict Blue which is free? Do they both have the same scope an functionality?

If you look at them purely from a pricing standpoint it is like comparing a FIAT to a Ferrari.

Thanks in advance for replies.

Regards,

Ramses

They are basically competitors in my eyes. And Command is finished.

The one redeeming feature is the openness of GC. If you can script, you can do almost anything. But as exciting as that sounds, the reality is it is very difficult to script/program an undocumented application.

Following this thinking...can someone comment to how this game compares with Harpoon- Commanders edition?

I enjoyed that game allot...with Command cost somewhat high, i expect a big value added from Harpoon-YES?

cheers.

HCU was my favorite version of Harpoon. But all the datasets and swapping of files around totally confused me. I really think Command take Harpoon ANW, adds some great new features, and makes it as simple as HCU to run

My personal opinion:

Harpoon is a P51 Mustang...
Harpoon ANW is a F86 Sabre
Harpoon HCU is a F4 Phamtom

and CMANO is something between the F-15C and the F-22

But... in any case you have to like the fighters!

Oh! I forgot... GCB could be either the F-35 or something like the F-111...

Having been an avid player of all games menitioned, I'd have to agree, though I'd say it has the potential to be the love child between a Raptor and Blackbird... [:D]
