T37, Caucasus

To OKH surprise, the Soviet did not commit to defend the Caucasus region at all. The paratroopers quickly secure the important railroad connecting Caucasus and the rest of the union. AG Caucasus - now reinforced with 4 Pz Armee, dash and quickly seize Maikop and are approaching Grozny. Soon the entire Caucasus will be in the German's hand.

T42, Caucasus

2 weeks later, Baku is firmly in German's hand. This will bring Turkey into the war as the Axis. In preparation for this, the Western Allies are spotted reinforcing Middle East. Tbilisi, being a supply point, is somewhat fortified by the Soviet.

The campaign has been a blazing fast with all oil fields secured in just 3 months. However, Soviet troops are massing in the center and north.

T42, West Front

The OKH had hoped the Western Allies to conduct aggressively in the West and had prepared reserve in the Siegfried Line. This will bleed the French Army when OKH decide to turn West later. To OKH's disappointment, the Western Allies remains passive.

T40, AGN

We go back a few weeks before Baku is captured.

In the North, a sector near River Lovat defended by Baltic States was intentionally left weakly guarded to lure any Soviet attempt to attack to this sector. This Sector is chosen due to its Marsh where supplies and movement will be limited, giving OKH time to react.

In T40, OKH spotted Soviet reconnaissance moving to this sector.

Sure enough, the Soviet burst through the sector and advance. As Baku was captured on the same week, OKH began railing reinforcement to this sector.

T44, AGN

Operation "Frederick"

OKH decided not just counterattack the Soviet breakthrough in Lovat sector, but also to launch an offensive with two objective :
1. Surround and destroy Soviet concentration in the Lovat sector.
2. Turn South and secure Smolensk

The operation begin with a counterattack in the north, crippling one Soviet Mechanized Army and pocketing another.
A bit to the South, a breakthrough is made by the PzGrenadier corps, turning South to encircle Smolensk.

T50, AGN

Operation "Frederick"

Started with high hope, operation Frederick quickly turned into bloodbath. Stuck in the Marsh, the Soviet Artillery provide heavy support to their flank in Lovat sector. With the losses mounting, OKH halt the first objective of the operation.

In the South, things are a bit better. Now lead by the infamous SS Panzer "Wootan" Corps, German army quickly encircle Smolensk, trapping several Soviet Armies. However, Soviet reinforcement are rushed to the sector and losses started to mount. OKH had to accept the momentum is lost. Polish armies went into reorganize.

Yet again, the Western Allies remains passive in the west....

T50, Middle East

With Baku oilfield captured, the Turkish army joins the war in the side of the Axis. Opposed by some local guerilla, the Turkish Army needs time to mobilize, and mainly, to repair their railroad infrastructure. 8 weeks later, the Turkish Army are in position to threaten Middle East, but was already too late as French had send reinforcement.

With the "Three" front war, Luftwaffe are starting to get stretched.

OKH debates their next target.

Nice job in the south. Those Maus tanks will come in handy against the Red hordes.

And Turks squaring off against British and French in the Middle East? This is the first time I have ever heard of that happening in EA. Does the Axis end up invading the beaches at Nice in Southern France? I guess we'll find out ;)

Very interesting and unusual match :) I enjoy the AAR. How many HRS have you lost so far? Or is this secret for reasons of national security? [;)]

The Turks wont be able to stand alone for sure as we shall see later. And yes, actually i haven't activate Italy yet. With the Maginot Line fortified all the way to the coast, that might be the only option, but we will see. Who knows if it will be through Swiss [:'(]

T51, Middle East

Middle East Front

A surprise attack was made by the UK 8th Infantry Division by assaulting and successfully capture Misis, behind the front line, supported by the Mediteranean Fleet.

Fortunately, the Turkish army en route to front line from Ankara are nearby and quickly surround the lone division, although the initial counter attack fail. The british will be able to evacuate from Misis next week.
Stukas from Ankara managed to sink the Mediteranean Fleet, but the carrier group survives.

T52 - AGN

Things are still going. I will review the entire fronts...

AGN - The Finns are trying to push from the north, but with limited manpower, that is their limit to advance.

A mix of Finnish, Germans, and Baltic States troops defend this region.

T52 - AGC

The center is where the main fighting are. Every week, the reports OKH received are "one more push and Soviet line will break". But always followed by "Soviet reinforcements are here!!".

T52 - Middle East

While in the middle east, the turks are not strong enough to break through the French - British defense line. The rail line is still under repair, no offensive will be done before the supply situation improves.
