Apparently the last series of posts I made were lost. I dumped them and don't propose to try and reconstruct them. Wyrmm just keeps sending me turns and I'll never get time for that. Boy I hate that, there was some good stuff and some interesting stuff there.

Please forgive me, those posts are still on my desktop, I just haven't had time to prepare them and post them. As Roseanne Roseannadanna put it, "Never mind".
Would you like me to copy in some of my posts to make up for it?

Do you know how much it costs to increase the fortification from level 4 to level 5 in a "heavy urban" base hex? Please give your answer in the vernacular.

On the 26th some Vals from Makassar react to a small convoy headed for Java. This won't be the last time those little landing craft are ignored. Perhaps if I ordered strafing I'd get some results?

He sucker punched us. Not to worry, we'll get back on our feet, dust ourselves off and retake the island. Come in survivors on Nauru Island... Hello?... Are there any survivors?

Now I could have withheld this for use when I suffered some reverse in the DEI, and may still do so. Something about my troops climbing the mountain then tumbling back down. This song was written before the war and referred to a cable car system built (before the war) so that you would go up the mountain, look into the maw of Il Vesuvio, then proceed back down. Up was "funiculi", down was "funicula". When I was young, this was a popular song, though with english lyrics not exactly like the Italian. Anyways, if I end a sentence with funiculi funicula, you will understand the reference. The word funiculi is related to our (english) word funnel and refers to the great cone. Il Vesuvio's eruption during the war destroyed the cable car system.

Nonetheless, if you play any game that allows you to take the Littorio and the Vittorio Veneto out to sea for battle, you must play this music while doing so. Do not underestimate those ships, they were awesome. Here's the music:

WRONG! I'm surprised no one caught me on this. Funiculi and funicula mean a cord or rope, and refer to the cable of the cable car. The up and down part is correct.

He lands at Maleolap. There's a small CV force and a large CVE force participating.
