After some reflection I was going to take back some of my harsh criticism of this game in post 10. I thought that perhaps if a totally impossible situation occurred once in a billion games then maybe the game designers were unlucky rather than incompetent.

However, it appears that there has been other instances of HMS Warspite being sunk that have come to light.

I am left with no choice. I have thrown my copy of this childish game in my bin and I urge you all to do the same..... well not my bin obviously as that would be rather a long way to travel for many of you and, given that the bins in London are only collected every other week, my bin would soon be full up. You should probably use your own bin...

Good idea - I could send my bin all over the world to peeps with the game, and they can then throw their copies in said bin, before forwarding to the next owner - and so on and so forth....

I too have lost the Warspite in my game vs AI. I sent her to guard New Caledonia area as the AI was making a move there & most of my US BBs were in repair at PH or WC from Dec. She got into a tussle & got damaged pretty good, gave a good aquitting of herself though, but sank trying to make Sydney for repairs due to bad rolls on float damage (captain was too early passing out the crews grog rations)

You are obviously confusing "bin" with "bint". Get your Britisims straight or there will be no masterpiece theatre for a month young man! [:-] And no BBC America either! [:-][:D]

No, the designers were unlucky. I have lost Warspite twice, but what's more disturbing is I lost an entire BB Sqdn; the Incompetent, Incontinent, Inamimate, Immaterial, and Inane. I am haieng the same problem with some of the "T" class subs, particularly the Turgid, and Torpid.

Is there something wrong with our ships ?? Ciao. JWE [8D]

Is there something wrong with your ships? Well yes, based on the above, I must say the USN could have been a little more selective in naming their warships, no? [8D]
