TeamViewer

World in Flames is the computer version of Australian Design Group classic board game. World In Flames is a highly detailed game covering the both Europe and Pacific Theaters of Operations during World War II. If you want grand strategy this game is for you.

TeamViewer

Post by Twisted1 »

OK, need a little advice. Downloaded Teamviewer and I am trying to set up a game with a friend.
I see that there are two settings, Meeting and remote control.

Which one is better?

Also, has anyone run into any problems using this program? Anything I need to watch out for?

Thank you!

Remote control allows the other person to actually move the cursor around to click and move units. Of course they can also click on anything else on your PC as well besides the game stuff. So that is the only thing you need to watch out for. You just need to be sure whomever you allow access will just restrict themselves to the game stuff and not try and reformat one of your disk drives [X(]. Of course they will NOT have admin rights to the PC but can still do some damage.

Remote control is the setting I use btw. Meeting just allows someone to view your screen so they would tell you what to move and how. Which could lead to a lot of frustration on both sides. "No I meant to move there, not where you moved me" type conversations [:D] . If a mistake is to be made, I'd much rather have someone else in control versus me trying to make sure my understanding of what they really want to do is correct [:D]. Besides I REALLY want to reduce the amount of clicks I would need to do and share them with someone else. One of the real downsides of playing the game all by yourself.
