Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

FOW

I've been wondering this for a while and can't see an answer in another thread so thought I'd ask! Why is FOW off by default? It seems there's a lot of work in the air engine, etc, on recon, but then I load a scenario and can see exactly where everything is and how how strong it is?

Recon is not only about seeing it. Increased detection makes it easier to target. But otherwise game is quite different when FOW is on.
