Aviation support question

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Aviation support question

Post by KenchiSulla »

Thought I saw a reference earlier but can't find it: Question

How is aviation support treated (assuming support is working at 100% efficiency)

- 1 aviation support against 1 engine?
- 1 aviation support against 1 frame?

Or?

Thanks in advance...

1 aviation point for each aircraft + 1 point for each 20k of sortie ammo + 12

Thanks. So a bomber that has an ammo load of 14k would use 3 aviation support?

1 for the aircraft, 2 for 14k+12k=26k rounded up? Or am I misunderstanding...

+12 is permanent requirement for the air base, so if you have 1 plane on the air base with sortie ammo below of 20k it will need 1+12 = 13 av support need to operate 100% efficiency.
