Multiplayer logon trouble

Tried to log on to play a turn using multiplayer for War in the West.

Had tremendous difficulty to get the turn launched. Finally did one turn as the Allies.

But, returning for turn 2, again, trouble.

Tried unifying Slitherine and Matrix accounts. Changing passwords. Nothing. Keep getting error 8 or error 48.

I keep getting Error 8, username and pass are 100% correct.

Also, being able to copy/paste into the fields would be great. Some have cryptic and long passwords (from a password manager).
