Can't Enable Sound--Windows 7

I just installed the game for the first time, downloaded it from the Matrix website.

I have sound only when opening videos and logos are playing but no sound ingame. Also, in game sound options are greyed out...

I have:

Windows 7
Intel Core i5-2500K CPU
GeForce GTX 770
CORSAIR Dominator XMS 8GB (2 x 4GB) RAM
Seagate Barracuda 1TB Hard Drive
Question: What did Mr. Spock find in the toilet?

Ensure that you also updated with the latest patch.
