Any news on the next patch?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

I hit that button today, 13 hours ago. No answer to your second question though.

Thanks Morvael... well there is nothing for me here at the moment, so,I guess I will have to play tag with the shark for the next couple of days.

Are we just waiting on Matrix to test and upload? Don't like to hassle but I've held a game up waiting on patch in the hope it will even out mud over a new summer. News would help me decide if that's worth doing.

I am really looking at nonrandom weather and giving up +1 in exchange now it effects game to negitivly 43-45.

No where near as many mud turns during spring and fall.

Far to positive for Russia during 41 and then going forward each yr.

Where can I find the changes that are being made for 1.8.8?

For me the issue is not of play balance/stacking but simulating historical conditions. As such, for all its faults, random weather is the closest we have to real world conditions. The extra losses that should accompany Russian attack advantage aren't there. Therefore I play random weather and no +1. Simples.

The patch was sent off a few days ago I think so it shouldn't be too long.
I would post the changelog but it all seems very hush hush so you'll have to ask either Morv or Denniss.

I'm not really into secrets. I'm just on holiday, skiing. Posting change log would no doubt cause flame wars to start, so I enjoy this moment of silence [:)]

This is the bit I don't get. Logically you would think with each iteration the pendulum would swing less and less to finally reach equilibrium. But it just keeps swinging back and forth.... on and on.

Well, equilibrium is a subjective word. That is why flame wars start

Its allot closer to center, think even I could play both sides and get draws easly.

ok
