Desert supply problems?

Not sure if this is a bug or me not knowing how to maintain supply in the desert. Take a look at this pic. Can you explain to me why the US units are out of supply? I've got HQs galore here. Am I missing something?

Given other situations seen I suspect there is a bug - which I suspect it limits how many "tertiary supply sources" a supply line can bounce through.
But it's just my supposition; I've seen recently another post of someone having a HQ OOS in Persia, linking via a chain of HQ to Beirut - Axis side.

This looks like a bug to me. Whatever the weather, there's something wrong here. Any chance of a gamesave?
