Did Comminist Chinese forget to attack Japanese artillery in mountains?
That risky attack so early in a long turn. [X(] Against 4 in defence, so not much chance of success either. [:D]

Edit: Or what Peter, or Rob, just said. [:)]

Hmmmm. How am I going to make any progress? I will play tonight. If you change your mind before that, feel free to attack [;)]

About attacking artillery. I thought defense value is 1 (doubled in mountains) and ground support can only give 1 point. Apparently it gives 2 points. So odds are weaker than I expected.

I believe we do some planning today as AllenK is back and there is no impulse tonight.

It is the modified combat factor of the land units that are used to limit ground support and shore bombardment.

2 areas for naval combat. Italy will decline the West Med but initiates in Biscay.

In Biscay, Germany sends a Me-109 from Bordeaux and 2 Nav to the Biscay 1-box.

CW have a number of aircraft they can bring to the show, all of which can make the 1-box. Do any fly?

Yes. CW fly the NAV2, and the two FTR2 in England, to the 0-box.

Hurricane I's and IIa's plus Albacores scramble to the defence of the convoys.

Having raised his periscope for a quick peek at what was going on, the Italian sub captain decides to head for the depths of the ocean.

Searches Axis 1, Allies 6. The Luftwaffe find the Allied shipping and decide to concentrate on those in the 4-box.

The Germans choose naval air combat.

Do the Swordfish load torpedoes or fly to the defence of the fleet?

With but 2 surprise points to spend, the Axis decide to hold them back for now.

Outclassed and outnumbered, the Gladiator pilots of the Fleet Air Arm put up a sterling defence.

I'll have to check with Mayhemizer for this one, so that wraps things up for the night.

The RN Gladiators pay the price for concentrating on the Nav.

Axis stay for another round or air combat. How about the Allies?
