Posts crossed in the ether. To clarify, combat or avoid?
RE: 4 player E-mail: A
The French want a combat with the Italians.
I thought my previous post answered this but I obviously didn't express myself clear enough. [:)]
Edit: And posts, once again, crossed each other. There is a go ahead for combat. [:)]

Wasn't sure when you said you'd considered avoiding combat but then picked the 4-box whether you'd realised you still had the required 4-points.
The French get their combat and have 4 points to spend. How do they wish to allocate them?

Decrease enemy naval combat column two steps.
France suffers 2 damage and one abort if I got it right. If so, then Suffren suffers the first D and Foch the second. The aborts go to the first available of Suffren, Foch, and Dunkerque. Beirut is the abort port.

The French concentrate their gunfire on their former battleship Richelieu. It suffers heavy damage but remains in the fight.
The Italians continue the battle, how about the French?

France stay. (Beirut remains the abort port if combat ends)

Round 2
Searches: Axis 4, Allies 5. Only the Axis find.
The Italians use their two surprise points to reduce losses.
How do the French wish to take their losses?

Foch suffers the X. Dunkerque the D and Suffren the A.
The French fleet then sail for Syria (Beirut) to regroup.

The Foch gallantly steams directly towards the Italian fleet to draw fire but pays dearly. Not unaware of the ruse, Italian Gunnery Officers switch their attention to the Dunkerque and land some telling hits, while also causing the Suffren to break off combat.

Any more action planned for this evening that require Allied responses?

Mayhemizer may want to ground strike or ground support a land attack, which would need Allied responses.
RE: 4 player E-mail: A
The Italians stay in the West Med, while the French sail back to Syria, leaving their sub in the sea zone.

Germany rails MIL from Munich to Seville.
Germany declares attack in Spain. Current odds are 26,5:13 = 2:1. Germany can choose the table, attacking units are ARM, ARM div, MECH, MIL, INF HQ and AT gun.
CW can add 10 points shore bombardment, France can add 1 point shore bombardment and Italy can add 3 points shore bombardment.
CW can add 3 bombers for ground support (7 points) show in picture, escorted by Spitfire in Gibraltar and 0 factor Swordfish from carrier. Germany can add 4 points ground support escorted by Bf109.
Both sides can add HQ's for support.
First question: Are CW or France going to use defensive shore bombardment?

Italy does not fire.
Does Spanish HQ want to give def HQ support from Gibraltar?

Germany sends Ju88 for ground support. Does CW want to send any planes?
